This was a super fun setup….got lost in it for a good few hours, this was one of the better bits from a meandering session.
The @battery_operated_ wobbler tape (in the marantz) degraded beautifully as time went on. @soma_laboratory cosmos is just being it’s bonkers ,never the same result twice, self!
Chain:
Two mics mixed into mono and sent to marantz, marantz recording with tape monitor feeding tape sound into cosmos. @vongonelectronics ultrasheer on the end.
@moogsynthesizers matriarch doing a little arp for texture.

DX7 sound bathing with @soma cosmos in constant loop and Lexicon 224XL

It’s taken all year to get this DX mk1 working properly, finally cracked it! It has the supermax mod which allows morphing between 4 patches with the Mod wheel….. insane sound possibilities, killer synth

Breathing canyon patch on the H3000 (with H3500 ROMs) with 90s Steve Vai faceplate makes me want to cut my jeans into shorts, get a bandana, fingerless gloves and muscle shirt ….. I could play this reverb cheese all day 😮‍💨😂

If he hadn’t got into synthesizers just before the tournament it might be a different story 🤷🏻
Still not nailed that bouncing ball patch 🥴

As the stupidly long reverb tail ends on my last overly wet piece of music, more massive antiquated machinery enters the studio….an EMT 140 plate reverb!!! Things will never be dry again!
I knew it’s was vintage but found a QC tag inside from 1958 so that dates it nicely 🤯…. also it’s the 92nd plate off the production line!
You can definitely smell the history on this, if you count history as a very strong smell of tobacco! Cleaning, servicing and refinishing/sealing the case are in order….plus I’m adding two modern pickups for more high fidelity stereo output while leaving the super vibey mono tube electronics in place depending on the mood.
It has a retrofitted motor system which allows a cabled remote box to change the reverb time from roughly half to five seconds…. lots of fun ahead messing around with this!
Big thanks to @jackweatherley for the help getting it in, although it was mostly me 😜😂

Don’t worry I have a place to hide this (if I got the measurements right 😅).
Some demos coming soon….. and friends can definitely send stuff to run through it! by @p._wizard
