“As filmmakers and cinema workers, we are told our words and images have power, and that our work can help end injustice. For over 100 days, images of Israel’s genocide in Gaza have flooded our screens, but this has not stopped the continuing atrocities.

In our capacity as filmmakers, actors, curators, film critics, and other workers essential to the international film industry, we stand for an end to genocide, apartheid, and repression, and we stand for the liberation of all people. We are aware that one day our community will create and champion films documenting this horrific genocide, yet many stay silent now, while we still have the chance to save lives. Our industry cannot continue with business as usual. We must do more than watch; we must act with conscience and continue to insist that Palestinian lives are equal to all others. We will not be complicit with anyone who acts otherwise.”

Paula González-Nasser’s THE SCOUT – a NYT Critic’s pick! – is now playing! Based on the filmmaker’s own experience working as a location scout, her assured feature debut is a beautifully observed portrait of a crucial-yet-unheralded aspect of film production and of NYC itself.

“Fantastic... a fascinating discovery... feels less constructed than it does conjured out of the quietly authentic experiences of modern life and work... often deeply, witheringly funny.” – Chase Hutchinson, The Playlist by @p.a.gn

THE SCOUT is out in theaters today 25.09.26. Out of our hands and into yours. (Truly) overwhelmed by the support we’ve gotten in the last 3 years of this journey.

First photo is from our @tribeca premiere. Second is of (most) of our small but mighty crew - they are the reason this was all possible.

Now playing at the best theater in the world @filmforumnyc, all thanks to @greenwichentertainment

Please see it in a theater, if you can.
