Ever since I started writing poetry, my biggest dream/goal was to end up creating my own poetry book. I wanted to have enough poems for the world to read whenever they wanted to. My dream is finally coming true. I have my own book of poems, ALL being written by me. I have no words but to just say thank you GOD 🤞🏽

Oh nothing, just a picture of me holding a book published by ME, next to a picture of ME graduating, in my little office corner. 💚 This feeling is unmatched.

Ever since I started writing again I knew eventually I’d end up having to put myself out there more and just trusting the process. Something told me to check my email because I didn’t do it in my morning routine and this is what I saw. Growing up my uncle kept this newspaper in his house to stay up to date with what was happening in the community. I really wish he was here to celebrate this moment with me because I know he’d get a copy & frame it right away. To my favorite Uncle, we did it. 🥹🖤
