Today I de-wefted (?) and seperated some old 18" Outre wefted hair by length so that it is easier to ventilate with less waste.It took me almost 6 hours to seperate about 3/4 of the pack.
As you see when you buy 18" wefted hair you're mostly getting 12"-14" and 7" and under. There is no pile for less than 7" bc that shit was a mess of 6", 5", and 4". I saved it for hair rats.
It was fun and I learned a lot but very tiring.

Yes. I used a drawing mat. You just put a little in the mats at a time and pull the longest pieces out, little by little, from the root side. You end up pulling long pieces first making them easy to seperate from the shorter pieces l. Super wig maker has a video on how to do it without drawing mats on youtube.

Nice good job! How can I learn? I am working on my first hairline piece and didn't separate the weft I'm already seeing the unnecessary bulk I need a drawing mat right? @yoashmo
