Kate Quinn | Australian Oil Painter | Brisbane

If you’re one of the 7 million people, who, like me, follow and love the content of @thedogist then you might be familiar with his recent interview with this grand old dame, Karmi D. She’s nearly two decades old and is a rescue from @bideawee . I was so moved by her gorgeous and hilarious old face, and her owners willingness to take her on at 14, I tracked down Karmi’s owner @parryriposte , and offered to donate a portrait of Karmi to her. After we got chatting, we decided we would try to fundraise for Karmi’s shelter @bideawee using the painting as an auction item. We agreed we should get @thedogist on board to help us raise funds but here’s the thing, he’s got so many followers he’s impossible to get hold of!

So if you think Kami’s owner and I should collaborate somehow with @thedogist to fundraise for @bideawee , help us by sending this reel to @thedogist !

Losing my own dog Jessie two weeks ago at age 13 makes me even more amazed by the tenacity and fortitude of gorgeous old Karmi D - what a dog!

In the meantime, if you’d like a dog portrait of your own, you’re in luck, because tonight is my monthly release of one ‘Monday Pawtrait’ spot - up for grabs 7pm Brisbane time on my website. Can be shipped worldwide!
