This!!!!! I was very grateful for a couple friends who didn’t come to my shower. I knew they were struggling and encouraged them not to force themselves there, and one had planned to (things were going well) and then got some bad news and didn’t. But I’d always rather be a friend who people feel they can be honest and cancel on than worry I’ll be upset. This should be talked about more. ❤️
