➡️ Nervous system regulation is a LIFESTYLE.

🤷🏼‍♀️ All the somatic therapy in the world isn’t going to help you if beyond the 50 minute session you continue to engage in habits that maintain your nervous system dysregulation.

👉🏼 The reality is, every thing you do is either going to contribute to regulation or to dysregulation.

✨ Consider all that you consume (not just food 😉), your daily practices, and the people you surround yourself with to start.

😌 When I hit peak burn out almost 3 years ago I learned that returning to a regulated nervous system meant changing SO many aspects of my life. And even still, it took a lot of TIME for my nervous system to heal.

👉🏼 Some other habits that continued to dysregulation:

▪️Too much caffeine
▪️Too much alcohol/substances
▪️Lack of job security
▪️Financial troubles
▪️Negative self-talk
▪️Too much/not enough exercise
▪️Not drinking enough water
▪️Believing you can think your way out of survival mode

✨ Let’s not overcomplicate things. A few things you can do daily to support your nervous system include-

🔹Get some sunshine each day
🔹Go for a walk
🔹Move/stretch your body
🔹Eat nourishing foods
🔹Drink enough water
🔹Make your home a place you feel safe
🔹Connect with someone you feel good around

How are you supporting your nervous system today? ☺️
