You know the feeling that you get when you’re dancing next to your ‘Ori sisters and you’re all on the same VIBE?? Love these talented ladies so much 🤍🤍🤍 Song title is “Pana’ona’o ‘Arioi” by Ia Ora Te Hura.

What a pleasure to move in unison alongside @ori_withrina @la_cristal26 @chatiry and the creator of this piece of art choreo @tehani_robinson . Māuru’uru Tehani for sharing a deeper understanding of what it might be like to be an ‘Arioi woman in ancient Tahitian society facing difficult decisions. The Ariois were “specially selected and ceremonially initiated” into this clan of artists, dancers, and storytellers responsible for moving from island to island to perform rituals honoring the god of abundance, Oro. The top artists were required not to bear children.

Māuru’uru @hotuaori for hosting such an awesome workshop and bringing the ‘Ori community together in Walnut Creek, CA 🌺
