Took the Chip, Took the Trip! 💾 @iiipoints ON ROIDS by @yofrayray Swipe to read the story behind every photo and how I captured each one at the festival. Every Polaroid shot, scanned & illustrated by me. Make it to the end for a surprise character that wasn’t on the lineup + the physical photos🎞️ Which was your favorite??? THE STORY: I knew @pawsaofficial would be one of the hardest artists to capture since he was closing the festival. I staked out on the mainstage near the steps scanning the area and after about 15 minutes, spotted him walking up. I asked for a photo and he agreed, but kept walking. He was fully locked into headliner mode, understandably. Someone from his team tried to shoo me away as I walked alongside him, so I started counting down from 3 out loud. Right as I hit 1, he turned his head, looked straight at me for a split second, and I got the shot. Easily one of my favorites because of how difficult it was to capture. Shoutout to PAWSA for locking in. DIFFICULTY: 10/10 THE STORY: @beltran was backstage about to go on with Ben Sterling but the miami booth baddies were clogging up the entire area so I had to fight my way to the front just to get to him. When I asked for the photo, he remembered me from Burning Man and was excited to take another one. I especially love this shot because he wasn’t wearing sunglasses which I feel like is pretty rare, looked directly into the camera and gave a genuine smile. DIFFICULTY: 6/10 THE STORY: @horsegiirl420 was #1 on my list of artists I wanted to shoot. I knew it wouldn’t be easy because she’s such a visually loud and unique artist, so she moves accordingly. Luckily I spotted her in the artist compound taking a photo with someone, and there was nobody else around. I was able to get the shot without any pressure and even chop it up with her afterward. One of my favorite portraits from the entire weekend. Her aesthetic is crazy, her music is unique, and I’m a huge fan. DIFFICULTY: 5/10 THE STORY: @maxdean & @lukedeandj were playing late in the night, around the same time as several other artists I wanted to shoot, so I figured getting them would be tough. Earlier that in the night I was watc

The Littlest Honky Tonk TV & @jackalopejamboree present: @kaitlinbutts - "Never Really Mine". With an upcoming album titled "Hello, Honky Tonk", it only makes sense that Kaitlin and her fiddler said "hello" to our Littlest Honky Tonk down in Pendleton at Jackalope Jamboree this summer. Everyone knows Kaitlin brings down the house with stage presence, and talent, but the intimacy we were able to experience within the confines of our horse trailer turned museum showcased her booming voice in a surreal kind of way. Kaitlin not only writes songs that reflect the experience of womanhood that many of us wish we could put into words so eloquently - but her voice captures all that pain, love, fear, courage, in a strong and perfect way that heals the heart. Kaitlin has been doing big things and her next record will be nothing short of stunning and is set to release Oct 30 of this year. Full video available on YT (Link in Bio).
