Elvis Costello - Radio Radio - Mini poster Radar Records UK 1978. 📻
Radio Radio b/w Tiny Steps (ADA 24) one of many superb non-album singles by Costello.
"Radio Radio" originated as a song titled "Radio Soul", which Costello had written in 1974 as a member of the pub rock band Flip City. Provoked by the BBC's attempted censorship of the Sex Pistols' song, "God Save the Queen", Costello revived "Radio Soul" as "Radio Radio", a more cynical critique of the commercialization of English radio.
Recorded either during the sessions for ”This Year's Model” or slightly afterwards.
Antoinette Sales designed the UK single in Pic 2-5.
