Despite the government's own energy advisors condeming it, @rishisunakmp 's govt has approved a new coal mine.

Opening a new coal mine during the climate emergency is not only reckless but it sends the wrong type of message to the rest of the world! We have environmentally friendly alternatives.

(And the coal is the wrong type of coal to be used for heating our homes)

Donnachadh McCarthy, climate columnist for @the.independent points out that if we wanted to help the British public keep warm in the winter then insulating their homes would mean having lower energy bills and lifting the ban on ONSHORE WIND would mean
