A feel good
#thanksgiving post.
Despite a more than
#stressful CT growing
#season, we had a banner spaghetti squash crop. Thanks to Farmer Al who put drip irrigation on most of our crops and saved the season.
I'm so thankful for my
#community who steps up to help us and others by donating their time and money.
It has become a tradition over the past few years and makes my
#holidays even better helping others.
@daceface graciously purchased 500 pieces of our spaghetti squash to donate for Thanksgiving baskets prepared by
@nourishbridgeport. That's over 1000 plus pounds since each one of them weighs a pound or more.
She picked them up here on the farm and delivered today.
Helping to reduce
#wasted hand harvested farm produce and getting it into the homes of our neighbors.
Gestures like this make my holidays more special and I'm extremely grateful for those committed to locally grown. Gathering around the table and eating together creates memories. So much to be thankful for this year. Thank again @daceface💚💚💚
