3 years agoAt first I thought they all looked the same but after a couple of rewatches I think they actually did a good job. I saw what they were talking about. Besides, all of these terms are subjective, and all of the body type/size attributes can look different on every person. It's about the proportions of their actual dimensions and how clothes fit on them. Looks can be deceiving. Just because they don't look exactly like someone else or the proportions aren't super exaggerated doesn't mean they aren't in that category. Rectangle's hips are comparatively narrow/straight, (the top of her hip bone is almost the same dimension as the bottom of her hip, where it connects with the stop of her leg) so her shoulder, waist, and hip dimensions are pretty close. Inverted triangle has somewhat heavier shoulders. Apple has more of a belly, so proportionately she'd have a larger waist dimension. I will say I'm not sure about Pear...pears are supposed to be curvier on the bottom...and even the little graphic symbol they chose wasn't pear shaped. 😂 She looks more like an hourglass to me. But she might wear a XS shirt and a M pant, we don't know. Then hourglass's hips are curvier than the rectangle, (the bottom part of her hips is wider than the top of her hips) but her proportions were evenly distributed between shoulders and hips with a defined waist.
3 years agoBut why define bodies into different shapes ??? I don’t understand this new trend off late ..
