A Florida inmate who murdered his sleeping cellmate because he wanted the death penalty is executed, nearly two decades after the killing.

James Robertson, 63, receives a lethal injection after admitting he strangled fellow inmate Frank Hart in 2008, just eight days before Hart was scheduled to be released from prison.

Robertson was first sent to prison at age 17 in 1980 for burglary and assault. He later told investigators he killed Hart because he wanted to be executed rather than spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Hart's daughter, Rebecca, speaks out about the devastating loss, reminding the public that her father was more than just a part of his killer's story.
