No funeral, no obituary. Just a postcard with nine words and a selfie in yellow aviators 🕶️💌

Before he died, retired design professor Don Glickman gave his daughter, Leah, one last assignment: mail postcards to more than 100 of his favorite people, from former students to old friends and colleagues.

Each one carried the same message in clean, bold type: “If you’re reading this, I’m dead, and I really liked you.” He picked the photo and the words himself.

Weeks after his death at 94, the cards started landing in mailboxes. Many of the people who got them said they laughed out loud, because it was exactly how he’d always been: direct, funny and never shy about letting someone know they mattered to him ❤️
