Today, I stand before you as the Queen of Carnival/ Miss Antigua & Barbuda 2023, and it feels like a dream come true!
From the depths of my heart, I want to express my utmost gratitude to everyone who believed in me, supported me, and cheered me on throughout this remarkable journey.
Since I was a little girl, winning this prestigious pageant and becoming Miss Antigua & Barbuda was a dream I held close to my heart. And now, here I am, living proof that with vision, self-belief, and an unwavering determination, anything is possible!
I can’t stress enough how important it is to never give up on your dreams, no matter how big they may seem.
The power of the mind is truly astonishing. With the right mindset and unwavering faith in ourselves, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way. I am a living testament to this truth, and I hope my journey inspires each one of you to believe in yourselves and pursue your passions with all your heart.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank my dear mother, Wonetta Corbin-Smith who has been my guiding light and mentor.
Her words of wisdom, her unwavering support, and her relentless encouragement have shaped me into the woman I am today. Though she may not be physically present, I feel her presence in every step I take. Her training lives on in my head and heart, and I am forever grateful for her love and guidance.
To my family, friends, trainers and all my supporters, you have been the wind beneath my wings. Your constant love, prayers, and encouragement have kept me strong and motivated. I couldn’t have achieved this without you, and for that, I am eternally thankful.
Lastly, to all the young girls and boys out there with big dreams, I want to tell you that you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. No dream is too big or impossible if you are willing to work hard for it and believe in yourself.
So, dream boldly, set your goals high, and go after them with all your heart. You have the power to shape your destiny!
