Ending the week on a high 🤍 See you on Wednesday, Madridistas! 🫶🏿
This dance goes out to all those who didn't make the squad. Last night we tried our best to remember THAT dance... It was 1994, I was going into my junior year of high school. My sister, Mikey, was a freshman. We had just rolled into a new town, new school, and we heard that the cheerleading tryouts were in a week. We tried our best to learn the chants and the dance routine. On tryout day, we both stood in line and waited to be ushered in—we did the cheer, fumbled through the dance, and then waited two hours outside to see if our names made the list, annnnd they didn't. This is for all of the kids out there who didn't make the squad, or the team, or get the part, or the job, or the second date... I get what the sting of rejection feels like, and I promise one day, you will be able to relive that moment and laugh (or even dance) your way through it. 🤗😉
TNHT Staff: @fashionswarrior _________ Neighbors, this is terrifying! An Arizona mother fought for her life and her one-year-old daughter after a stranger allegedly barged into their home, attacked them both, and demanded that she remove her clothes. Bella Torres says the horrifying encounter unfolded in less than 10 minutes when a man opened her front door and asked to use the bathroom. Before she could react, he allegedly lunged at her, grabbed her by the neck, wrestled her to the floor, and kicked her baby. “My first instinct is just to protect her,” Torres said. _________ Torres eventually broke free and ran toward her open front door, screaming for help. Surveillance footage captured her desperate cries and a struggle that continued into the driveway. During the confrontation, the intruder allegedly claimed he was on drugs and had been sent by her boyfriend. The man fled when Torres’ husband returned home, and Buckeye police arrested 20-year-old Adrian Ayala within 24 hours. _________ However, the story took another disturbing turn in court when Ayala’s attorney claimed the entire incident was a “giant misunderstanding,” arguing that Torres’ husband had arranged a consensual role-playing scenario. The judge wasn’t buying that explanation, stating, “I don’t care if her husband said he could go in there and do that, that’s not a defense.” Torres insists neither she nor her husband knows Ayala. Still traumatized, she says she has struggled even to shower since the attack and plans to increase security around her home. Ayala faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault, and was released on a $25,000 secured bond. 🎥: @12newsaz
