CDT 2023 - April 13th - September 14th. What a journey. In 2020 I spontaneously joined a friend on the PCT round mile 100 for a couple days - as Covid hit and my job/project at that time wasn’t continued I decided to just keep walking not planning on anything other then keep walking for a bit longer. I realized the day I joined that I actually never backpacked before 😂. I ended up walking to Canada and returning to mile 100 to sobo back to the boarder in the end. I made many new lifelong friends and those got me also spontaneously onto the CDT this year. Through hiking came to me at times I really needed it. Being out in nature and pushing my limits - it’s healing aspects of stepping aside from your life to evaluate and find a new Re-entry or new start. It supported my inner growth and believe in myself. It helped me with my mental health to calm and recenter. I hope that I could inspire to come out and walk a little, to take time for yourself and tap out of the system for a bit to find yourself again in this busy fast paced world. #bravethecdt #cdtcoalition #cdtclassof2023 #cdt2023 #throughhiking #montana #glaciernationalpark #backpackinglife #adventure #explore #pushyourboundaries #nature #naturelovers #natgeotravelpic #photography #faroutguides @faroutguides #faroutguides #faroutmagazine #faroutguide #guthook #farout #sawyerproducts #sawyer @sawyerproducts #backpacking @hyperlite_mountain_gear
