Are you familiar with wines from Luberon?🍷
Today’s wine: Domaine de la Royère Quercus 2016. Luberon, France 🇫🇷
Located in Provence, the Luberon appellation was created in 1988 and white, rosé and red wines are produced. For the latter Grenache and Syrah must constitute 60% of the blend, but Mourvèdre is another approved and commonly used variety.🍇
This wine has a deep ruby colour and medium nose. It’s a full body wine with medium+ intensity, alcohol and length. Medium acidity and medium- tannins. Characteristic include plum, strawberry, black cherry, black pepper, baking spice and herbs.
Very good wine that drinks well now, but will continue to develop for another 3-4 years🍷

I don’t think I’ve ever had a wine from Luberon...but I remember appreciating this easy to remember AOC! I reckon these are excellent wines to stock up on...what’s not to love about red and black fruits, spices and herbs. It’s a crowd pleaser in the best way!
