Getting around to sharing some projects from the past year+ that I’ve been grateful to be a part of.
Kicking it off with one of my favorite songbirds,
@delaneysilvernell and her twin releases from late summer “Trader Joe’s Flowers” and “Wash Away.”
I was just coming off the road when we tracked these 2 songs in downtown LA. The tour let me play pedal steel every night, so thanks to that “Trader Joe’s Flowers” has one of my favorite steel performances put to tape. A practiced fluke, really. “Wash Away” is a most spacious and delicate recording. Delaney and Alisse trusted Sam, James, and I to honor that and I hope they’d agree that we did! This one has one of my favorite electric guitar takes I’ve managed to create.
It’s easy to create when the songs are great.
All of this really speaks to Delaney and Alisse as artists. They’re adventurous and curious and they let me try stuff. I know how rare that can be.
I know where I am, and I’m thankful to be here.
Talk soon,
xoxo
