JAPAN SERIES 🇯🇵 Part 3: Kyoto

Kyoto was stop 3 on our Japan trip and what a magical place! Did you know it’s the birthplace of kaiseki cuisine (traditional multi-course Japanese dinner) too?

Here’s what we ate/drank, in order of video:
☕️ Here - casual coffee shop with industrial interiors offering fluffy French toast. @here.kyoto
🦪 Nishiki Market - famous long marketplace. We grabbed lunch at Genzou after looking around. Genzou_nishiki
⭐️ Kentan Horibe - Michelin star kaiseki restaurant with incredible food. Only negative was they didn’t seem too keen on tourists - I’d visit again regardless though as the food was THAT good. @kentanhoribe_kyoto
🥃 High Central - I think of their matcha old fashioned often. @bar_highcentral
🍣 Sushi Momonoki - high quality sushi restaurant that fuses Japanese tradition with art. Gorgeous! @kyoto_sushi_momonoki
🐝 Bees Knees - popular cocktail bar with show stopping drinks. It gets VERY busy though & there’s a long waiting list. Be sure to get your name down asap and drink in a nearby spot while you wait. @bees.knees.kyoto
🍸 Cavalier - hidden cocktail bar with the best staff; super friendly & high energy! We had so much fun here we went back a second time. @cavalier_kyoto
🥐 Astarte - coffee & pastry shop with filled croissants to die for! @astarte_coffee_and_pastry
🎼 Good Morning Record Bar - casual, chilled bar playing vinyls. @goodmorningrecordbar
🍗 Wabiya Korekido - kitori spot serving a wide variety of chicken skewers using every part of the chicken. @wabiyakorekido
🎮 Cafe La Siesta 8bit Edition - retro gaming bar with live DJs - test your Super Mario or Street Fighter skills against tourists and locals! @siesta8bit
🐟 Chimera - Italian fusion in a traditional wooden townhouse. I simply must recreate the scallop, prosciutto, & caviar dish. @gion.chimera
🏨 Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto - 5-star hotel near Nijo Castle with the most stunning garden. @hotel_the_mitsui_kyoto
