“We rejoice in our sufferings”
- Romans 5:3
“All things work together for the good of those who love God”
- Romans 8:28
“do not fear, for I am with you.. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you”
- Isaiah 41:10
Nov 26 : Caley was admitted into the hospital for an emergency birth for our 23 week old twins, Levi O’Neal & Malakai “Kai” Damion Scheidecker.
Nov 27 : Levi suffered a massive brain bleed. We baptized him and held him in our arms as he began to pass. God however performed a miracle that night, keeping him alive for us to be with him for another day.
Nov 28 : Thanksgiving day - we were hopeful & praying for our sons to hang on. Praying and contending for a miracle.
Nov 30 : Levi passed at 6:30am in our arms. Malakai continued to stay steady & consistent with strong numbers. Our family joined us as we grieved over Levi & continued to fight along side Kai. Although we prayed for God to miraculously heal our boy Levi, we know He has other miracles in store from this tragedy.
Today : as we grieve over the loss of our son Levi, we have no choice but to continue charging the gates of hell with every prayer we have as we fight in this long ongoing battle with our little Warrior, Malakai.
New Perspective : God is good. This world is broken. Bad things happening doesn’t excuse us as Christians to deny the mighty power of Christ. As a couple, our faith has grown as we have gone through this and all the verses at the top of this caption ring more true in our hearts now than ever. I understand now what they mean when they say “Christ is our firm foundation”.
Hard Things : This has taught me that there are people in this world who suffer from hard things they never planned on suffering from. Our baby boys for example were born into the fight of their lives. They will forever inspire me to remember what it looks like to fight for your life and do hard things. I’m truly beside myself with how resilient they are.
Community : Our community has absolutely humbled us. People all over the world have been praying for these boys and it’s all thanks to this incredible community of people we have around us. 🙏🏼 Please keep praying for our miracle boy
