Watch the full film on YouTube/DeclassifiedUK A former Israeli soldier exposes how the IDF treats Gaza as a ‘wild west’ with ‘no rules’. Yuval Green served in the 55th Brigade’s 66th Battalion as a medic. He was present when the Battalion’s commander Ofir Adani gave a speech before they entered Gaza in which he told his men: ‘I want you to be angry. I want you to rage. I want you to have a deep sense of revenge. Anyone who messes with us should die. He and his family. And his relatives. And everyone who supported him.’ Green said that as well as Adani giving several speeches like this, Ezra Yachin, a 98-year-old who was involved in a Zionist militia’s 1948 Deir Yassin massacre of Palestinians, gave a speech to his company before they entered Gaza. ‘This guy comes to us, a group of soldiers, and he’s just telling the story of how he massacred villagers…and no one blinks an eye. And I think this shows you very very well what type of atmosphere we’ve had before we went into Gaza. The writing was on the wall.’ Green said he saw widespread damage to residential properties, which could constitute war crimes. ‘I went to [my commander] and I told him, if we’re burning down those houses, I’m leaving the next day. I’m not willing to be a part of it. This is the last straw. And, that’s what happened. They burnt down the houses. I went back, and this was it.’
“It’s done bro!” Since the beginning of October, people across India have taken to the streets to demand fair elections. And despite police crackdowns, the movement continues to grow, with protesters now outnumbering security forces. The protests are led by the student movement mockingly named the Cockroach party – after a government minister called unemployed young people cockroaches. And they’ve continued to express that same sense of humor in their chants and protest signs. Here are some of them. #India #CockroachParty #BJP #Elections #Modi “It’s done bro!” Since the beginning of October, people across India have taken to the streets to demand fair elections. Protesters are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Kumar’s office is responsible for revisions that purged 130 million names from the voter rolls. Protesters say the voter roll revisions further disenfranchise marginalized populations and benefit the ruling right-wing BJP party. Protesters say the voter roll revisions further disenfranchise marginalized populations and benefit the ruling right-wing BJP party. The Cockroach party planned large-scale protests for October 10. A day before the demonstrations, New Delhi police announced they had denied permission for the protest, blaming late requests from organizers. When protesters followed through with the demonstration, they faced extensive and violent police crackdowns. Reports say over 30,000 police and paramilitary forces were deployed in the city.
