Here is a new ENIGMA; To date, I have organized 315 dinners, but votes were held at only 271 of them. Fot these dinners, I have opened 2977 wines of my cellar. Each guest usually ranks his or her five favorite wines, more rarely six. To establish the overall vote, I award 20 points to the wine ranked first, 15 to the second, 11 to the third, 8 to the fourth and 6 to the fifth. Adding up the points gives the overall ranking. In my own vote, some of the wines I place in my top three also appear among the top three of the overall vote. The question is as follows: across all 271 dinners, how many times does a wine in my top three also appear in the top three of the overall vote? The answer is a single number. The five people whose answers come closest to this number will be invited to an ENIGMA lunch, as for all the previous ENIGMAS. To determine the top five, I will take the answers closest to the exact number. Should more than five people find the exact number, I will select the five who answered first. the Enigma will be stopped at October 24 at 8pm French time.
