This kid keeps my heart rate elevated and my laughter constant.
When I was pregnant with him I can’t tell you how many times I was told to brace myself because boys are so different. I was very resistant to the sentiment and in many ways still am as I encourage my girls to do any and all things they want. They are adventurous and brave and strong. They have swam with sharks, love to hold snakes, and see dirt as a sign of fun.

But man, Enzo is just built different. Where my girls would climb a tree; Enzo would climb that tree and then leap from it as if he had a parachute attached. It feels at times as though he has no motivation for self preservation. At the same time I am in constant awe of his physical abilities and the things he trusts his little body to do. Having a three year old who does front flips is not something I saw coming. But his wild and silly antics keep me laughing constantly.

And while I am graying faster than I would like, I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have this little ball of energy in my life.
