4/27 today - Flow & Grow Picnic by
@besafebham at Avondale Park!
2-5pm • all ages • free!
~~~
Join us THIS Sunday at Avondale Park for this month's Flow & Grow! No yoga this month, but we'll be hanging out with our flow toys, crafts, and fidgets. Have something you need to work on that you need a body double for? Bring it!! Skillshare a bit. Sit in silence while enjoying the park sounds. Bounce around and run in circles. No matter what activity you choose, we'll be there from 2-5pm with nonjudgmental, affirming vibes! Oh, and it's FREE!
"Nothing about us without us" is a phrase frequently repeated in Disability Justice. A lot of the volunteers/staff with B.A.S.S. have disabilities and are neurodivergent, so for us, Disability Justice is harm reduction. April is Autism Acceptance Month and it can bring up complicated feelings for autistic people.
B.A.S.S' Flow & Grow is a dedicated space for neurodivergent and disabled people to find community, grow support networks, and feel the love from other neurodivergent and disabled people.
If you have accessibility needs, help with directions/information, or need a B.A.S.S. Buddy to help out (new social situations are scary we get it!), send us a DM!
Can't wait to see y'all there!
Come say hi to the B.A.S.S. camp crew 😌💙
As with every event we could even loosely categorize as "bass music and bass music accessories" in or around Bham (or elsewhere including any Bham performers): Tag
@bhamwubz in your posts or comments to be added to our story, and tag
#bhamwubz for extra hype 😌🙌🔥
BHAMWUBZ DOES NOT RUN EVENTS! If you aren't following the tagged ppl above you're missing the point of this account. Please follow them. Most flyers and write ups shamelessly lifted or generously shared by original posters 💙
