A few weeks ago I had the honor of being called to my first birth. To be welcomed into this sacred space and get to support a mama through birth is the most special thing I have experienced in my career so far.

I prayed the entire drive there for the Lord to guide my hands as I cared for this mama. And that is exactly what He did.

Labor had slowed down and baby wasn’t in a great position. After a few gentle adjustments, this mama said that it was the first time she felt comfortable enough to rest since labor started 6 hours ago. After I helped her up, her midwife immediately rechecked fetal heart tones - baby had moved into the right position while mom was on my table. Her water broke shortly after I left and baby girl was born about an hour later.

Less than week later I got to go back and treat mom and her beautiful baby girl at the first postpartum visit. What a blessing to be able to support this family both during and after birth.

I don’t think I will ever stop being amazed by the beauty of our design or by the power of the chiropractic adjustment. Every single day I feel so incredibly grateful that I have been called to serve in this way.
