Memphis Artist Spotlight: @kongweepang
Kong Wee Pang @kongweepang is a creative force who has called Memphis home since 2001. “I’m a little bit of everything,” she says with a laugh, and that’s exactly what makes her work stand out. Kong Wee moved to the U.S. from Malaysia in 2001 after graduating from the Singapore Nanyang Academy of Fine Art. Since then, she’s earned a degree in Fine Art and Design and an MFA from the Memphis College of Art, co-founded the design powerhouse Taropop Studio and left her mark on projects from New York to Spain and her beloved Memphis, a city she calls “great for designers and artists.”
