There are two types of people in the world: those who are afraid to be Vanessa Burgundy...and
@vanessaburgundy.
4x5 B&W sheet film photograph of Vanessa Burgundy for
@bettiepagerum taken with Irving Klaw's personal Crown Graphic camera which was used by Irving and his sister Paula Klaw to photograph many of the famous Bettie Page photos we see today.
As I indicated in a previous post, this is the FIRST TIME that large format 4x5 sheet film has been used in Irving Klaw's camera since he retired in 1963 (polaroid shots were taken a few years ago) so I made sure to process the sheet film at my house to control the entire process. Also, I was able to marry modern lighting technology (my Hensel strobes from Germany) with the 75 year old camera technology of Irving's
#CrownGraphic to bring a unique look and feel to the photos from this camera while still respecting the aesthetic of Irving and Paula Klaw.
Irving Klaw's historic Bettie Page camera was acquired from his estate by our good friend
@michaelcobb of @bettiepagerum.
