Friday we said goodbye to the ‘goodest’ of dogs. The luckiest, weirdest, most loyal. My heart is broken but now he will finally catch that rabbit, swim in the waves, snuggle up with Taffy, Daisy, Roddy and our Jess dog. Mum- can you take him for walks please? And his favourite snack is peas! Thanks Tank- you are missed. 💛

The sick mentality of some men is honestly beyond disturbing. Before anyone asks, these messages are from men in India. This is the side of social media you don’t always get to see. The disgusting, sexually explicit messages women receive from men who think it’s acceptable to speak to us this way, completely unprovoked. This is what I repeatedly experience on my social media, it’s absolutely disgusting. Unsolicited sexual messages, degrading comments, men who think they can speak to women however they please. The entitlement is unreal. And no, this isn’t a one-off. It happens far too often, which is exactly why I speak up about it. I’m proud to have been born and raised in the UK, where I’ve had the opportunity to grow up challenging attitudes and expectations that I don’t agree with. Honestly, my heart goes out to women in India who have to navigate environments where misogyny and sexual harassment can be so deeply normalised. No woman should have to put up with this behaviour. Being a man doesn’t give you the right to sexualise, degrade, or disrespect a woman. And hiding behind a screen doesn’t make you any less disgusting. I’m sharing this because I’m tired of staying quiet about something I experience on a daily basis. Between you and me, there was a time I wanted to give up completely. Then I looked at Addi and realised that was not a choice. I met a girl at Officeworks today, she asked me how I stay motivated all the time. I told her it’s become second nature. Running became my constant when all other parts kept moving. When I felt dizzy and couldn’t put my thoughts in order. Screw being where your feet are, be where your thoughts quieten. Your heads clear and your endorphins grow.
