When Toby Chappell’s boat import business failed in 2020, he was convinced he would find a new job quickly. Then the Covid pandemic arrived and he decided that he would start looking once the lockdowns were over. This left Toby as a house husband while Julie became the family’s sole breadwinner — a switch that he said had profound effects on his mental health Tap the link in bio to read the full story
#ChriseanRock and #Blueface’s were kicked out of a haunted house after one of the actors claimed someone from their camp hit him.
Great seeing the T2 crew again. Nobody ran when I walked in. Progress. ;) 👍🏼 #t2 #terminator
The easy way I make Singapore Noodles - with chicken and bacon rather than Chinese BBQ pork and Chinese sausage! Comment RECIPE for DM link or see below. - N x ❤️ Easy Singapore Noodles with Chicken   100 g/3.5 oz dried vermicelli noodles (not glass noodles), prepared per packet (do this just before cooking) SINGAPORE NOODLES SAUCE - mix: 3 tbsp light soy sauce , or all-purpose soy (not dark soy) 3 tbsp Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing wine, sub chicken stock low-salt) 3 tsp curry powder (regular, like Clives, Keens, not spicy) 1 tsp white sugar 1/2 tsp white pepper (sub black pepper) CHICKEN - toss: 150g/ 5 oz skinless boneless chicken thighs (sub breast or tenderloin), cut in half lengthways then finely sliced into 5mm / 1/5″ strips 1/4 tsp cooking/kosher salt 1/2 tsp curry powder STIR FRY ADD-INS: 2 tbsp plain oil (canola, veg, peanut) 2 eggs , whisked 100g/3 oz streaky bacon, chopped into small pieces 1/2 brown onion, finely sliced 3 garlic cloves, finely minced 1 red capsicum (bell pepper), deseeded and finely sliced 1 very heaped cup EACH bean sprouts and baby spinach     1. Heat a small amount of oil in a large non stick pan over medium high heat. Add egg and swirl to spread into a thin crepe, cook for 30 sec until surface is just set. Transfer to cutting board, once cool enough to handle, roll up and finely slice = egg ribbons! 2. Add rest of oil into pan over high heat. Cook bacon for 1 min, then add onion and cook for 2 min. Add chicken and stir until surface is white (still raw inside). Add capsicum and garlic, cook for 2 min until chicken is cooked inside. 3. Add (in this order) baby spinach, bean sprouts, noodles then sauce. Toss until sauce reduces and stains noodles yellow. Gently toss through egg ribbons then serve!   #recipetineats #singaporenoodles #easychickennoodles #vermicellinoodles
You matter even when others deny your experience. That must be how David felt facing Goliath. These are the thoughts running through my mind as I get my first mammogram after finding a soft lump in my breast over the weekend. Honestly, I’m just grateful I have health insurance. Life would be easier if I were the type to keep my head on a swivel—especially as a Chanel No. 5 kind of girl—but I’m not. The ones who do tend to get paid better, though. I’m proud of myself for finding a post-COVID study showing that journalists who kept covering the pandemic had higher rates of PTSD symptoms than colleagues on other beats. The rate of a probable diagnosis among those covering COVID-19 (30%) matches what Feinstein et al. found among war correspondents (28.6%). At this point, there isn’t a storm I haven’t faced when it comes to accountability and the truth. Money, power, and status come and go. But the truth, your voice, and your values—you take those to your grave. When I die, I’ll know I stood for something. I lost, suffered, and endured, all in the quest for answers. These are the things I think about when I scroll my own feed. I laugh at my own stubbornness for not submitting for an Emmy this year—knowing my creativity and dedication to innovation deserve acknowledgment—while my shadow side somehow takes pleasure in challenging the status quo. Then again, what would I know? I’m just a traffic reporter, I tell myself as I laugh. Keep scrolling to see my FAVORITE new locker. I never thought I’d become the bourbon-drinking type of journalist, although I won’t be doing that anytime soon, I find myself looking at the Dolly Parton locker right in front of me at the doctor’s office. This woman always finds me when I need her most. Halfway through my appointment, I was declined because I already have a lump, but I met the most amazing receptionist named Becky at Solis Mammography in River Oaks. She really knows her stuff and should be on TV. Word from two people—not one—is that Dr. Wheeler is a doctor and a lawyer who thinks differently and challenges the status quo in healthcare. As you can imagine, that sounds like my kind of person: one of the rare few - a patient in
