Cada versão minha carrega uma história.
Uma luta, um recomeço, uma escolha.
Sou feita de todas elas.
E hoje eu celebro a mulher que estou me tornando.

Dear CSU community, Yesterday evening, many of you received an emergency alert or saw media coverage about an incident on campus. We’re writing to share what we can, thank those who responded, and make sure everyone is aware of the support available. Here is what we know. On Monday evening, CSU Police received a report of a person acting erratically near Newton Plaza. When an officer arrived, a man armed with a handgun advanced toward the officer, and the man was shot. He was taken to an area hospital where he is being treated. No one else was injured. CSUPD determined there was no ongoing threat to campus and it was not an active shooter incident. The Critical Incident Response Team, led by Fort Collins Police Services, is investigating, and any further information will come from FCPS. A summary is at safety.colostate.edu We’re deeply grateful to CSUPD, FCPS and other law enforcement and first responder partners for their swift response and for the care and professionalism they showed. We know that an incident like this is unsettling. Please check on one another and take care of those around you. If you or someone you know needs support, we encourage you to use the resources below and linked in bio. Students: Support services, including counseling, are available through Student Support. Faculty & staff: Employee Assistance Program offers free, confidential counseling and resources. Yesterday’s alert and all clear messages each went to more than 48K email addresses and text numbers belonging to members of our campus community. We recognize that some people did not receive the text alerts. We are working to understand why and fix it. If you’re not yet receiving text alerts, you can opt in by following the instructions at CSU’s safety site. Campus digital screens are used for situations with an ongoing threat, which CSUPD determined was not the case here. Separately, you may have seen reports of a student arrest in a residence hall. That matter is unrelated to the incident near Newton Plaza. Thank you for your care for one another and for this community. To every new mama reading this 🤍 I wish someone had told me all of this when I first became a mom. That not every phase lasts forever. That motherhood doesn’t mean losing yourself. That your body isn’t ruined, it’s changing. And that one day, you might actually love the woman you’ve become even more than the one you were before. That I didn’t have to enjoy every second to be a good mother. And most importantly, that becoming a mom doesn’t mean you have to stop becoming YOU. I’m sharing these words as a mom who’s been through the newborn days, the sleepless nights, the guilt, the changes, and the beautiful surprises that come with growing alongside your children. So save this for the days when motherhood feels a little too heavy. And send it to a new mama who needs to hear it. 🤍 Mamas who’ve been there, what’s ONE thing you wish someone had told you before becoming a mother? Let’s make the comments a little survival guide for new moms. 🫶🏻 #NewMom #MotherhoodUnfiltered #PostpartumJourney #MomLife #Motherhood
