[Project] Figuier
Renovation of a former 1820 agricultural outbuilding in Marseille.
With its thick walls and few openings, the building could not be altered without risk. The studio therefore designed an internal wooden framework set back from the ceiling, serving as a partition, storage, and light filter. This structure frees circulation and allows light to diffuse throughout the space.
Some furniture elements draw inspiration from the site’s original agricultural function, with vintage farm hooks repurposed and fixed to the tops of wooden panels, and a bathroom cabinet inspired by cattle feed bunks.
A big thank you to all the artisans and everyone who contributed to bringing this project to life.
Special mention to our carpenter
