3 months agoDo you think this comic would be prophetic when you made it? Not the atom, of course (yet), but the US-Israeli war in the Middle East, and Texas flipping. I do kinda hold out for that atom. I don’t mind being erased if we can have a second chance.
a year agoConsidering we’re all the result of a chance meeting between a random gamete among millions and another that’s going to be bodily expelled in a few days: yeah, it wouldn’t take much to be wiped out of the timeline!
a year agoIn my world a timeline is a stick. If a knob on one end of the stick sent something to an earlier part of the stick, nothing changes because that is the shape of the stick. Free will is as much a result of bouncing atoms as clouds. Her sending the atom back is part of what made her world. Nothing would change.
a year agoWe have a long list of books and movies about messing around with time. Also, with all my empathy for victims of all past wars, conflicts, crimes and artrocities, most of them were turning points in our history. Both world wars claimed lives of tens of millions of people, but they also pushed us from XIX century, wich was quite an ugly time to be alive, so I'm not sure if I would answer "Yes!" to a "Would you go back in time and kill Hitler/Stalin/Franco/Zedong?" question. Nevertheless comics is as always outstanding and I cant wait to see the rest of that story. 👏
a year agoI’m not fully with you with the ”both sides bad” take, but I’m here for the general sentiment. Makes me think of Garland’s Civil War.
a year agoHow would she ensure it doesn’t play out in a similar way though? Are we hoping for a multiverse with at least one scientist doing the same thing until all the bad timelines are pruned off?
