You really did get some amazing shots! I echo your sentiments on seeing shows in different cities, it’s an unforgettable experience to meet so many people who share the same passion for the artist (s). I’m loving flying solo to shows more and more as there’s no restrictions, no fear of losing the other person. The only setback is finding someone to truly save your spot but I’ve only had a minor setback once. Yungblud show Will surly be a test to this however 😂

Listen, I love lifting as much as the next person. But the lifting community has GOT to stop acting like avoiding cardio is some sort of accomplishment. We’ve spent years advocating for the importance of resistance training (rightfully so), but somewhere along the way, some of y’all decided that lifting was the only form of exercise necessary for long-term health. Unfortunately, that’s not how physiology works 🙂 Resistance & aerobic training produce overlapping but distinct adaptations, & BOTH are vital if your goal is to live a long, healthy, physically capable life. Cardiorespiratory fitness measured by VO₂ max is one of the strongest predictors of all-cause mortality. Higher levels of fitness are consistently associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, chronic illness, & death. While lifting absolutely provides some cardiovascular benefits, dedicated aerobic training is needed to improve your heart’s ability to pump blood, increase mitochondrial adaptations, improve oxygen delivery & utilization, & build the endurance needed to sustain activity. Resistance training, meanwhile, is particularly effective for improving muscular strength, preserving muscle mass, supporting bone health, a&nd maintaining physical function as we age. There’s a reason the ACSM Physical Activity Guidelines recommend BOTH aerobic exercise and resistance training! And before someone starts screaming about cArDio KilLiNg tHeIr GaInS, concurrent training research shows that you can absolutely improve cardiovascular fitness while building strength & muscle. You just need to program it appropriately. You don’t need to run marathons, sign up for a HYROX, or suddenly become a triathlete. Walking briskly, hiking, swimming, biking, running, or whatever gets you moving at an appropriate intensity all count! If longevity is genuinely your goal, stop treating cardiovascular fitness like an optional accessory exercise. Lift heavy shit, train your aerobic engine, & give yourself the best chance of being a questionably strong, capable old fart. The potato community is catching strays, but the lifting community needs to hear it 🥔 So, do you even cardio, bro??
