Yesterday, I attended and spoke as a panelist at WeCoach Regional Workshop. An organization and workshop aimed at empowering and inspiring women coaches.

During the closing ceremony, the panelists were invited to the stage, where @alexmorgan13 joined us on Facetime. She was there (virtually) to present us with a $10,000 grant - The Coaching Mom Initiative, from the Alex Morgan Foundation. The grant is to ensure coaching moms, like myself, have the childcare support they need.

This grant not only provides financial relief for my family, but it also supports the work that I do! While my career is fun and very rewarding. Working in athletics is not always easy. There are long days, and many long nights. It takes the right support system to withstand a successful and fulfilling career in athletics.

I always consider myself very blessed, and supported, however, it’ll take me some time to process through this one. Alex freaking Morgan presented me with money for my awesome kid! How cool is that?! I cant wait to share this moment with Demi in the future.

What a great day! Extremely thankful to @alexmorganfoundation @wecoachsports Thankful that Alex made herself available to present us with the grant!
