10 days agoI can attest. Dr. Simmons, your home is living art. I remember walking into your home at 16 years old, newly accepted to Stanford and in awe as you welcomed the new admits to your home. You walked us through your journey as a pre-med in your backyard and I said to my parents, who accompanied me that day, “I want to be like her!” You continue to inspire and I I greatly admire what you have built and continue to curate. Honored to be your fellow sister in @blackwomenphysicians. Thank you for all you do. With love and admiration.
a month agoI love black art too. I’d have so much more if my husband didn’t give me a hard time about it!🥴

3 months agoIt’s true. I am purposely cultivating imaginary for my family to see on the walls. I love that and i remember the art I grew up with seeing in my grandmothers house. Ossawa Tanner and Gougain prints. Even the black book covers have made an impact on me as an artist👩🏾🎨
