Tehran Contemporary Sounds (TCS)

TCS Exhibition – Part 2 — REMNANTS: Fixed Media Showcase
28–30 November — Betonhalle, Silent Green
Curated by Shahin Peymani
In collaboration with Rabt, Khamoosh, School of Sonic Arts, SALT, Sounds of Tehran

Remnants gathers a range of contemporary practices and independent spaces shaping today’s sound-art landscape in Iran. The works explore sound as material and phenomenon — something that acts, vibrates, inhabits space, and alters perception. Rather than representation, sound appears here as residue, trace, and active presence.
The showcased audio and audiovisual pieces reflect on listening as a sensory, affective, and mnemonic encounter. Together, they offer a composite image of how sound continues to operate, insist, and evolve across diverse artistic approaches.
