There was a MotoGP racer who was sponsored by OF that used the platform this way. In the YouTube video where he talked about it, he said it was a better platform than Patreon, but I think it would be tough to break the stigma without some pretty big endorsements

Rebranding is definitely possible, but it would probably be difficult given the name attached to it. Never say never, I guess
