On a more PG note, let’s talk about THE dinner scene. I’m still obsessed with how this shot turned out—massive credit to our insanely talented DP (@trevorpeckham ). Building a lived-in, slightly unhinged dinner table was nerve-wracking, but getting to tear it all apart afterward was so so fun. I absolutely love how this gory moment came together. Most of the dishes were destined to be shattered, so they were rescued from local thrift shops, and the rest of the table settings were a patchwork of whatever the crew was willing to sacrifice from their own kitchens.
Indie filmmaking: where your décor is borrowed, your props are breakable, and your group chat is full of “Hey, does anyone have dinnerware they won’t miss?”
