Every Medal Monday is a celebration but this one is super special. First marathon completed 🎉✨🏃🏾‍♀️ @dallasmarathonofficial

I’m not even going to sit here and pretend like it was a cake walk… 26.2 miles is actually crazy 🫠 and that last 10k I was fighting demons…. BUT GOD! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! 🙌🏾 And DID! I don’t know if I’ve ever felt more proud of myself and more grateful.

Grateful to God. Grateful for this body that carried me. Grateful for this mind that also sustained me. Grateful for my support system near and far (shoutout to my family, friends, and the run club gang gang). And most importantly, grateful that I bet on myself all those months ago.

I want to give a special shoutout to my bestie who flew all the way here and surprised me at mile 20 of the race. I cried. That meant the world to me. I love you best friend. ❤️ My legs are sore but my heart is so full.
