2025 was the most interesting year of my life. It wasn't overly great or overly horrible, it had it's blessings and it's challenges. There were a balance of some really awesome and cherished moments along with some troubling and heartbreaking ones. Without the year 2025, I wouldn't be the person I am in the current. The year was relatively slow and uneventful at many points, with myself taking an offshift position at work. It made it difficult to be at events and meet up with friends and overall, my social life was pretty dim, which was a huge challenge for me. I did unfortunately have to take a huge step back from barbershop as a result. I did not attend BHS international this year and my presence with my choruses were incredibly limited. That being said, I did find some windows of opportunity to still sing with The Men of Independence, which included competeting (and winning) the JAD chorus contest in the spring, and performing the National Anthem with them again. I formed a new quartet, Vitality, which has kept my toes wet in barbershop still. I debuted my first ever quartet contest with these guys and managed to score a 73.3, and qualified for the 2026 International NextGen contests!!! Vitality was absolutely the biggest blessing of 2025, and I'm glad it happened when I really needed the outlet the most. Here's some other key moments throughout 2025.

• I made a trip to Arizona and met my online friends! I of course made some core memories that trip, it will be something I will never forget. If you have online friends, I absolutely recommend finding time to meet them in person atleast once, it's a remarkable experience.
• I continued my long (yet successful) weightloss progress, and I am actually really happy with my current weight at 165. I feel the healthiest I've ever felt.
• I helped with a super fun fundraiser livestream for my chorus, Prism!
• I was in a shortfilm where a barbershop quartet breaks the horrible news to someone that their partner was gay.
• Had a pretty fun camping trip in the spring with the boys.
• And lastly played a shit ton of videos games, probably way too much.

With that said, goodbye 2025, and hello to a brighter 2026!
