a lifelong dream of mine has been fulfilled, and full disclosure i have been trying to get to the pillow for years but something has always gotten in my way of applying. i now realize that i was meant to experience this place, at this time, with these people. what a beautiful and truly diverse panel of educators and inaugural cohort of the Jacob’s Pillow Winter Intensive, lead by fearless leader Maleek Washington. When you have diversity, honey you have magic!

i have so many thank yous to say to the people who helped me get here, as well as the people that will help me stay here. To my community, thank you for loving me at my 10 and 0. To my teachers and mentors who have invested in me thank you for leading with empathy and vulnerability allowing me to feel safe enough to push myself to my limits. To myself, thank you for never giving up and fighting to be in spaces where I do not see myself represented. To Maleek Washington, thank you for making this dream come true and for seeing something in me I didn’t know was there and for being devoted to creating magic through community.
