The Legacy of Pixels — 36 Years
I opened Photoshop for the first time at 13 — with no roadmap, no guide, only curiosity and a deep urge to create. What began as simple experimentation gradually became discipline, patience, and a creative language shaped entirely by pixels. Over the years, Photoshop became more than a tool — it became my creative laboratory, a space where I learned through failure, refined ideas layer by layer, and explored typography beyond rules and precision. Pixels taught me one thing clearly: growth comes from process, not perfection.
🫂 Today, 19 February, holds a special meaning for me. It’s my birthday — and the day Photoshop was born. So instead of receiving a gift, I created one. Celebrating 36 years of Photoshop also means celebrating 8 years of my own journey — learning, growing, and transforming.
🔺 Adobe has always pushed creativity forward. Their vision, tools, and community inspired me to dream bigger and believe that imagination has no limits. Being able to create something meaningful with Photoshop feels like a small way of giving back to the platform that shaped my journey.
🦅 This bird illustration was created by my friend, Guillermo Flores. When I saw these birds, I saw my own story in them — and instantly knew I had to build something with it. I shared my ideas and vision with him, and he replied, “Let’s goooooo… we do something together.” Today, this is the final vision of that idea. Thank you, my friend, for believing in me, trusting my process, and making my special day even more special.
P.S. ( Interestingly, these bird illustrations were first designed for a Photoshop 2025 splash screen concept that wasn’t selected. Later, Guillermo created another concept that became the official splash screen for Adobe Photoshop 2025.)
