It was an honor to perform at @nycmayor Zohran Mamdani’s interfaith breakfast last week with @qaisessar and @sukhmanimusic as @wearesangat. We opened the event with a shabad by Guru Nanak Ji followed by a qawwali song. For us the message is the same - Divine Oneness is a call to action to fight all forms of oppression and stand in solidarity with those under attack. What a time it is in New York City to have a mayor who feels the same way. 🙏🏽💜✊🏽
