John Boyega is showing love to the hairstylist responsible for getting his wife, actress Tae Heckard, together. Celebrity hairstylist Tookie Did It recently shared a video showcasing Heckard’s intricate sculpted cornrows, complete with perfectly styled baby hairs and a voluminous curly ponytail. The “Star Wars” actor wasted no time jumping into the comments to praise the finished look. “Im sending her back to you neeooow! Thank you for being so gracious & accommodating. Should’ve seen my face when she walked in,” Boyega wrote. Tookie responded with an invitation for Heckard to return whenever she needs another hairstyle. “johnboyega so happy you loved it! Send her butt back anytime, cause I know she want some cornrows lol. Also, congrats on yall new bundle of joy,” the stylist replied. The sweet exchange comes just days after Boyega surprised fans by revealing that he and Heckard have secretly been married for nearly two years. During an October interview with The Guardian, the 34-year-old casually confirmed his marital status when asked about his wedding ring. “I’ve been married for coming up to two years now,” he revealed, explaining that they opted for an intimate ceremony. Heckard, known for her role on “The Game,” has since updated her Instagram name to Tae Boyega. The couple also recently confirmed they welcomed a baby boy, with Boyega sharing intimate family photos and a video of himself holding their newborn son. Would you try this style? 🎥 @tookiedidit

As you’re probably aware, Travis Kelce is currently in hot water after people spotted that he liked Shane Gillis’s controversial opening monologue from this past weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live on Instagram. If you somehow managed to miss the whole thing, Shane has been widely criticized for his misogynistic comments in the monologue, where he called women “whores” and bitches. Considering the current climate amid the highly publicized Cornell University lawsuit, the whole thing left a bad taste in people’s mouths, with one viral tweet summing up the discourse with: “the normalization of casual misogyny like this directly contributes to rape culture. if you’re against what happened at cornell, you need to be against this too.” Other celebrities came out against Shane’s monologue, too, including Dan Levy, whose impassioned Instagram post calling out Shane, SNL, and men as a whole ended up going viral. And this sentiment only made Travis’s response all the more disappointing, with eagle-eyed followers noting that both Travis and Cara Delevingne had liked SNL’s social media post of the monologue. NYT flies some guy in from Cincinnati, parks him with Meth Camp Mike for a couple days, and he comes back saying Denver solved homelessness. 🙄 German Lopez saw the tiny homes and the hotel rooms bought with one-time federal cash, rode along on a morning patrol, and decided the 64% drop in unsheltered counts means every other city should copy this. What Lopez actually watched was the city spending HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS to relocate people into low-barrier hotel rooms with zero rules. Sure, street homelessness numbers will go down when you move the problem indoors but that’s not a solution. The people still cycling through this system are mostly deep in addiction to meth and fentanyl, and/or dealing with serious mental illness. An apartment key doesn’t fix that. It just relocates the drugs, the crime, the overdoses, and the chaos into buildings or onto the next block. Neighbors around these sites have been documenting this while the mayor’s office keeps pointing at the PIT count and cherry picking stats. But…Lopez didn’t stay long enough to see any of that. Housing First without accountability is just a try-to-hide-the-problem program. No consequences means no pressure to get treatment or be a productive member of society. The article even admits the remaining street population needs the kind of intervention progressives hate, and that the money is running out. Enforcement only ramps up when election season hits. The rest of the time it’s warnings and an ask to “move along.” Lopez got the gaslighters’ official tour. The rest of us have the video evidence. Copying Denver’s model just spreads the same expensive failure. Do better, @nytimes
