The American Birkebeiner is North America’s largest ski race and this year featured record-breaking, fast conditions. While these conditions didn’t suit me going into the race, I believed in myself and my fitness. I’m proud of myself for leading much of the race, trying to push the pace, and going with the move when the move was made. 5th wasn’t what I dreamt of but I controlled the controllables and that’s all you can really do at the end of the day. A HUGE shoutout to
@theskihut for supporting me this ski season and EVERY season,
@pioneermidwest for race day wax service, and Nicholas Flynn for being my biggest fan. Thank you to all those that reached out and watched the livestream, I feel so much love from my local community 🥰 Apparently if you don’t race super tours, you’re a “mystery woman from the Midwest” 😆 I only race locally because I can’t get that much PTO from work. And with that, a nod to all the people that work full-time and still toe the line with the professionals to see what’s possible. Onto the next!
