| Down Home Longbeards |
In the woods where they beat me, where they taught me, and where I learned. Carrying on a legacy from the ones who came before me. 6 springs without him now and I still carry that wingbone call from the last one I ever got to show him. I swear that thing will pull a gobble out of one when nothing else will, and I have to believe that’s not a coincidence. Hunting at home is special for more reasons than familiarity. It slows me down, grounds me, and helps me reflect on where I’ve been and where I’m going. I can feel it every time I step into those pines, and there’s no finer place to partake in the spring ritual than right there, at home.
