Oh, the places I’ve been!
2 Olympics
2 Paralympics
7 countries (🏴🇧🇪🇩🇪🇫🇷🇨🇦🇳🇴🇮🇹)
11 all-nighters
18 work trips
68 days on headset
76 sports
Hundreds of interviews
Thousands of words written
Countless smiles
(Oh, and two Emmys)
One day I’ll do the math on how many miles I traveled (and admittedly some of the above are estimates). For now, I’m finally resting as my contract with NBC comes to an end.
I have a lot more to say about working in sports TV production, the friends I made along the way, and the athlete stories I got to tell. Maybe I’ll write about them, maybe you’ll hear about them over happy hour, or maybe it’ll all just stay tucked in a memory for me to think about and say “wow, how lucky was I!”
I’m not sure what the future holds but it sure is going to be tough to top the past three years. Thank you to everyone who supported me on the journey and I hope our paths will cross again soon.
Love,
Dan 💖

I only got to work with you for one Paralympics, but it was SUCH a joy! I know wherever you land, they’ll be so grateful to have you!
