So proud of this dude! This is my stepson Hayden, and this was his first day on a bike! Last weekend he said, "I'd be willing to give that a shot..."
Wow, I never thought I'd hear those words.
Then he worked his butt off all week long at school to get all of his homework and tests done before spring break, so that he could come out here and learn to ride. I warned him it was going to be miserable hot, and very slow moving while we learned the different parts and controls on a bike, and then the very fundamentals before we even turned it on.
We were able to borrow some gear and a bike from @socalsupermoto
6 hours out there, 100°+, and all he wanted was to keep going. And then we got him out on the track! There wasn't anyone else there, so the crew at @apexmotorsportspark let me get this first timer out there, worked up to 3rd gear, and shifting down at the end of straights. He wouldn't stop asking when we could go back. Proud stepdad moment!
